Purpose
WCC Chief Finance is an internal accounting integration operated by B Whitlock, PLC. It is used to assist with reconciliation, classification, and maintenance of B Whitlock, PLC’s QuickBooks Online accounting records.
It is not offered as a public application or service.
Information accessed
The integration may access accounting information contained in B Whitlock, PLC’s QuickBooks Online company file, including:
• financial accounts and chart-of-accounts information
• bank and credit-card transactions
• transaction descriptions and amounts
• accounting classifications and related bookkeeping data
• reports needed for reconciliation and validation
The integration is designed for accounting information and is not intended to access or process patient medical records or protected health information.
QuickBooks Online and Intuit
WCC Chief Finance communicates directly with Intuit’s QuickBooks Online services through Intuit’s authorized API and OAuth 2.0 authentication system.
Accounting information exchanged with QuickBooks Online is therefore transmitted between B Whitlock, PLC’s local integration and Intuit as necessary to perform authorized accounting operations.
Credential security
Application credentials and OAuth authorization information maintained by WCC Chief Finance are stored locally using protected credential storage.
Credentials and authorization tokens are not intentionally:
• published publicly
• included in ordinary application logs
• transmitted through messaging systems
• committed to source-code repositories
• shared with unrelated third parties
Authentication information is transmitted to Intuit only as required by the authorized OAuth and QuickBooks Online API processes.
Data sharing and sale
B Whitlock, PLC does not sell accounting information accessed through WCC Chief Finance.
Information is not intentionally disclosed to unrelated third parties except as necessary to operate QuickBooks Online through Intuit or as otherwise required by law.
Authorization and revocation
Access to QuickBooks Online must be authorized by an authorized B Whitlock, PLC user through Intuit’s OAuth process.
Authorization may be revoked through applicable Intuit or QuickBooks Online account controls.
